Why I Do This Work

What sets me apart is simple: I’ve been there. I’m in long-term recovery myself, and that lived experience allows me to connect with people in a way that can’t be faked. I don’t do fluff. I offer a real relationship, honest feedback, and a grounded space to dive deep. My goal is to help you move past what’s holding you back—whether that’s trauma, addiction, or the difficult transitions life throws our way.

My Style

If you’re navigating trauma, rebuilding after disruption, or just trying to figure out who you are, you’ll find a space here that’s warm, direct, and free of judgment. Therapy with me is collaborative and rooted in the belief that real change happens when you feel safe enough to show up fully—and challenged enough to keep moving forward.

Beyond the Office

Outside of therapy, you’ll probably find me playing guitar, catching a live show, watching documentaries, or hiking with family. These pieces of life keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of joy, balance, and connection.

Hi, I’m Dan.

I’m a licensed therapist based in Michigan, and I help people heal through honest connection, deep work, and compassionate support. My approach combines traditional talk therapy, EMDR, and equine-assisted therapy for individuals who are ready to take a real look at their lives and begin the work of change. I see clients in my East Lansing and Mt. Pleasant offices, and I also provide secure virtual sessions across Michigan.

I believe deeply in the power of human connection, and I’d be honored to walk with you through whatever season you’re in.
